Fortnite’s newest content update is out now.

Players can look forward to a long list of weapon changes for Battle Royale — including the return of the pump shotgun and the arrival of the new revolver.

Epic Games has given its employees two weeks off to celebrate summer while we enjoy the 14 Days of Fortnite event. But that doesn’t mean the updates will stop.

A number of releases are lined up to keep Battle Royale feeling fresh while Epic is out of action. The first of those is available now.

Fortnite version 9.30 content update 1

This content update focuses on shaking things up — specifically when it comes to weapons. Here are the highlights:

  • New revolver
    • Available in epic and legendary variants
    • Fires medium ammo
    • Holds six rounds
    • Deals 63/66 damage per shot
    • Found in chests, vending machines, supply drops, and on the floor
  • Weapons and items vaulted
    • Rare tactical assault rifle
    • Impulse grenades
    • Rift-to-Go
    • Pirate cannon
  • Weapons and items unvaulted
    • Uncommon and rare pump shotgun
    • Shockwave grenade
    • Suppressed SMG

Other weapon tweaks

In addition, availability of the tactical shotgun, burst SMG, semi-automatic sniper rifle, and Flint-Knock pistol has been reduced. Damage dealt by the minigun and heavy assault rifle has been increased.

Epic and legendary variants of the infantry rifle can now hold 10 rounds per clip (up from eight), while the clip size of the drum gun has been decreased to 40 rounds (from 50). The drum gun has also had its fire rate reduced.

Finally, there are now five supply llamas in each game as opposed to just three, and each will drop 350 of each material — up from 200.

14 Days of Summer

You can start enjoying these changes in-game right away. And if you haven’t already, you can now take part in the 14 Days of Fortnite event, which offers a new limited-time game mode every day, and a daily challenge.
