The first public beta of iOS 13 is finally available to public testers.
Apple launched iOS 13 public beta 1 and iPadOS public beta 1 this morning. The software gives everyone the opportunity to try out all the new features, like the system-wide Dark Mode that looks absolutely beautiful. However, you might not want to take the jump quite yet.
Because iOS 13 is still in the early stages of beta development, Apple doesn’t recommend installing it on your main iPhone or iPad. I’ve been testing iPadOS on my iPad Pro and there are definitely a bunch of annoying bugs that still need to be worked out. If you’re ok with crashing apps and weird UI bugs, go and grab the betas from Apple’s Public Beta Tester website.

What’s inside iOS 13?
Apple packed iOS 13 and iPadOS with dozens of great new features. Dark Mode is one of the biggest new changes. There’s a new swipe-to-type keyboard, more details Maps app, new Memoji, better Siri Shortcuts, cleaner Siri voice, improved Reminders app and more.
The Photos app got a huge makeover. There are some new editing tools, including the ability to edit videos too which is pretty nice. The UI for the Photos app has been updated too so that pictures and videos are organized by days, months, or years. And it trims out screenshots and other crap.
On the iPadOS side of things, Apple updated the homescreen so your favorite widgets are always visible. Safari now has desktop-class browsing. You can have multiple tabs and windows for apps. Oh, and Apple finally added the ability to connect external hard drives and Bluetooth mice.
