Dead Cells, the brutal 2D action-platformer that has been a huge success on consoles and PC, is now available to preorder on iOS.
It’s not a free-to-play game like most of the titles you’ll see in 2019, but it’s well worth its price tag. And if you get your order in early ahead of its launch next month, you’ll save yourself a cool $2.
Dead Cells is a roguelike-metroidvania game that has been incredibly well received by fans and critics. It boats a “very positive” rating on Steam after more than 23,500 reviews, and has sold 1 million copies on the Switch alone.
If you haven’t already had a chance to play it, you’ll soon have no excuse. Having Dead Cells in your pocket means you can play it anywhere, at almost any time.
Dead Cells hits the App Store in July
The mobile version of the game will be identical to the original, but a lot more affordable. You’ll get to play through the same action-packed levels with all the same content, and there’s physical controller support if you want it.
Some optimizations have been made for mobile — like a new mode called Auto-Hit. This will see your character performing automatic melee attacks on enemies within reach, which will be helpful when playing with touch controls.

If that doesn’t excite you, I don’t think anything will.
