Apple’s competitors are quickly taking aim at the outrageous price of the company’s new Pro Stand that was revealed at the WWDC 2019 keynote this morning.

Taiwan-based electronics company MSI tweeted out a funny mock-ad this week comparing the price and specs of the Pro Stand with its latest 34-inch 5K monitor and it’s going viral all over the internet.

Apple fans frothed into a rage on Twitter when the $999 price point of the Pro Stnd was announced. The Pro Display XDR costs $4999 but doesn’t come with a stand or an adapter to mount it to a non-Apple stand.

The price tag of the new Mac Pro also received a lot of derision from the Apple faithful. The baseline model starts at $6,000 but the highest-end units will likely costs upwards of $30,000. While many people scoff at paying that much for a computer, similar workstations from PC makers cost a lot more so the Mac Pro might actually be a steal.

Even if the Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR turn out to be great value there will probably be no shortage of shade thrown at them when they launch later this year. Gaming accessory maker SteelSeries also poked fun at Apple in its newest post on Instagram revealing its latest Apple-inspired accessory.
