The Pokémon Company successfully got millions of gamers off their couches and out into the streets with Pokémon Go. Now it wants to send them all to bed.

Its next mobile game, Pokémon Sleep, will reward you for good sleeping habits. It will let you train your Pokémon while you’re catching some Zs for the first time ever.

It’s one of several new titles coming to mobile in 2020.

Pokémon Sleep promises “a gameplay experience unlike any other.” That’s because it might be the only game that doesn’t require you to be awake while you play it.

New Pokémon games coming to iOS in 2020

The game will work alongside the new Pokémon Go Plus accessory. Simply place it next to your pillow at night and it will track your sleeping habits, then send all the data to your phone.

That’s about all The Pokémon Company has revealed for now. But it seems that the better you sleep, the more you’ll train your Pokémon during a slumber.

We should find out more before Pokémon Sleep hits the App Store in 2020. And that’s not all we have to look forward to.

Pokémon Home

There’s also Pokémon Home, a new cloud service that will let you sync the Pokémon you’ve caught across all your devices.

Home will be available on your smartphone as well as the Nintendo Switch. It means the creatures you’ve caught in Pokémon Go will also be available in Pokémon Let’s Go and other titles — like the upcoming Shield and Sword games.

Pokémon Masters

Finally, there’s Pokémon Masters — which could be the most exciting Pokémon game for mobile so far.

Again, the details are light for now, but The Pokémon Company says the new game “allows you to battle alongside your favorite Pokémon Trainers from the main series RPGs.”

Presumably, Masters will work alongside Home, so you’ll be able to access the Pokémon you’ve caught in Shield and Sword and continue battling with them on the go.

Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon Home, and Pokémon Masters will all be arriving next year. The Pokémon Company says it will share more information “as soon as we can.”
