The iPhone SE is making a rare appearance on Apple’s clearance page. This discontinued model was already inexpensive, and it’s available now for $100 or $150 less than the usual price, depending on the model.
But don’t dither; it’s likely to sell out again quickly.
A rare bargain on an inexpensive model
The iPhone SE is available now in space grey, silver, gold and rose gold casings, and with 32GB or 128GB of storage. The regular price for the 32GB version is $349, but on clearance it’s just $249. The 128GB iteration is $299.
Apple has put this model on its clearance page before and it’s always disappeared in a few hours. As the iPhone SE was popular, and it’s inexpensive, there’s no reason to expect it won’t sell out again just as quickly.
iPhone SE specs
Apple launched the iPhone SE iback n March 2016. The svelte device boasts a 4-inch Retina display, an Apple A9 processor, Touch ID and a 12-megapixel rear camera. Plus, in what will likely be a big selling point for some, it comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of design, it’s virtually identical to the iPhone 5s,
This older model doesn’t have Face ID or the slimmer bezel of the XS-series iPhones. However, the iPhone SE offers a tried-and-true design that’s more pocketable that Apple’s more recent offerings.
There are sketchy rumors that an iPhone SE is in development, but these generally lost momentum when the original was discontinued last year without a replacement. Besides, some will argue that the iPhone XR is the successor to the SE.
