CES 2019 bugIf you just upgraded to a new MacBook, you’re probably finding it hard to live without all your favorite ports. But if you pick up Elgato’s new Thunderbolt 3 Pro Dock, you won’t have to.

The Pro Dock packs the most popular ports you’ll need — including Gigabit Ethernet, DisplayPort, and two card readers — eliminating the need for a bunch of different dongles.

Dongles are a must-have for almost all of Apple’s newest devices. You’ll need one to connect wired headphones to your iPhone or iPad Pro, and to connect almost any peripheral to your MacBook. When you’re at your desk, however, a dock is a much better option.

Docks, like the new Pro Dock from Elgato, offer a bunch of connectivity options in one package, negating the need to buy different dongles for every accessory.

Elgato Pro Dock does it all

The Pro Dock packs two USB-C ports with data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps, and two Thunderbolt 3 ports with data transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbps. It also packs two traditional USB-A ports, so you can connect existing peripherals, like a microphone.

There’s also a Gigabit Ethernet connector, two 3.5mm audio jacks, and SD and microSD card readers. You even get a traditional DisplayPort 1.2 connector, which can drive an external 5K display at up to 60Hz, or two 4K displays simultaneously.

What’s more, the Pro Dock is designed to look good alongside your MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro, with a sleek design topped with an aluminum shell.

The Pro Dock is available to purchase now from Amazon, priced at $349.99.
