A fresh new version of iOS 12 is waiting for developers to download, bringing with it a fresh batch of fixes and some UI tweaks.

Apple released iOS 12 beta 4 this morning for both iPhone and iPad. The update arrived exactly two weeks after Apple dropped the last beta, which added more detailed Map data along with other improvements.

Along with the new iOS 12 beta, Apple also seeded the fourth beta builds of tvOS 12 and watchOS 4.

Registered developers can grab iOS 12 beta 4 from the online Apple developer portal. iOS 12 can be installed via an over-the-air update if you have the previous iOS 12 beta installed.

What’s new in iOS 12

Apple adds more hair, animals, and superheroes to new emoji

Release notes for iOS 12 beta 4 don’t mention any big UI additions. We’ll find out if there’s anything significant in the update (like maybe those new emoji?) once we get it installed. Previous betas brought tweaks to the Screentime app, new Siri Suggestions and improved the way iPhone apps display on iPad.

iOS 12 is set to launch publicly this fall. Apple is adding a host of performance improvements in the update so that iPhones are more stable. There are also some big UI changes to the lock screen, Apple Stocks, Apple Books, Photos, FaceTime and the creation of Memojis.
