Thanos isn’t just appearing in theaters everywhere, he’s also showing up in Fortnite. The villain of Avengers: Infinity War is crossing over into one of the most popular iOS games for a short time.
Even better, one player in each session transforms into Thanos to wield the Infinity Gauntlet.
For those unfamiliarwith Fortnite, 100 players drop into an area, find weapons, and fight until only one survives.
How to play as Thanos in Fortnite
In the “Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup” mode, the gauntlet with all six Infinity Stones can be found on the battlefield. The lucky player who finds it transmogrifies into Thanos and begins crushing everyone else with this powerful weapon.
Even those who don’t get to transform still have the fun of taking on the Overmaster, the Masterlord, the Mad Titan, also sometime called just Chins. Can you do better than Iron Man, Captain America, et. al.?
The appearance of Thanos in Fortnite starts tomorrow, May 8, and will be an optional part of the game for a limited time, according to Entertainment. How long that will last is unknown.
After being a console game, this title debuted on iOS (but not yet Android) in March. Since then, Epic Games has kept improving it, adding clinger grenades, light machine guns, and other tweaks to the mobile version.
Just this version alone is expected to make Epic $500 million this year. As good as it is, though, we have some suggestions on how to make Fortnite better.
