Apple is about to let Siri control your AirPlay speakers.

As part of the latest beta for iOS 11.4, Apple has added the ability to use AirPlay commands through Siri, allowing users to use Siri on their iPhone to play something on their HomePod.

iOS 11.4 contains a number of features that were scrapped from iOS 11.3, including AirPlay 2.0. With AirPlay 2.0, you can use your iPhone to stream the same song to your Apple TV and HomePod. It also lets you set up two HomePods in stereo mode.

iOS 11.4 is currently in its third beta build. It will likely be released to the public before Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference on June 4 in San Jose, California.
