Sarcastic T-shirts urge Apple to ‘Think Different (again)’

Got something to say to Apple?

If you think Apple has lost its innovation mojo, these T-shirts are for you.

Throwboy’s new iWantMore line expresses the frustration of anybody irritated by iOS bugs or underwhelmed by the MacBook Pro.

Throwboy creates analog products to express our digital whims and obsessions. The company started when its founder sewed a series of pillows in the likeness of Mac desktop icons for a girlfriend. A picture of the pillows went viral. Now, Roberto Hoyos’ company ships tech-themed throw pillows all over the world.

The Throwboy product line, mostly pillows of popular emoji like the smiling pile of poo, has branched out with products that poke some good-natured fun of Apple.

Last year, Hoyos borrowed a Donald Trump slogan and created a red baseball cap similar to one the candidate wore on the campaign trail. The Throwboy hat reads: “Make Apple Great Again.” The line speaks to a growing sentiment in the Apple community that the tech giant has forgotten creatives by neglecting much-needed updates to its computers.

New Apple T-shirts spin old Apple slogans

The iWantMore T-shirts cap on old Apple marketing slogans. “Think Different” and “It all just works” now read “Think Different (again)” and “It all just kinda works?”

“Whether you think the Cupertino tech giants are innovating or iterating, the topic has become a debate … for the past few years,” Hoyos wrote on the Throwboy blog. “We decided to have a little fun … (and) spark some conversation around the community we like so much.”

The six Apple T-shirts, which come in a variety of colors, can be purchased for $28 each on the Throwboy website.
