The new MacBook Pro is the most gorgeous laptop Apple’s ever made. It’s thin, powerful and touchable. There’s just one big problem: It’s expensive as f***!

Dropping two grand on a new MacBook isn’t an easy decision for many Apple fans. But if you’re lusting after the new MacBook Pro and don’t have quite enough cash to foot the bill, there are a few ways you can get a lower price.

Education discount

Apple has a special online education store that sells Macs and iPads at a lower price. Education pricing is available to college students, parents buying for students, faculty, home-school teachers and staff at all grade levels.

Discounts on the new machine range between $50 off for the low-end 13-inch model without a Touch Bar and up to $200 off a high-end 15-inch MacBook Pro.

Unlike in the past, you no longer must verify that you’re a college student or work at a university to make a purchase. So technically, anyone can buy the new MacBook Pro with the education discount and pick it up in the store or have it shipped to them.

Amazon and other retailers

A number of third-party retailers are already taking preorders on Apple’s new MacBook, even though it’s not shipping. Best Buy and B&H Photo offer varying delivery dates but no discounts, while MacMall trims $35 off all new MacBook Pro models. All offer free shipping, and depending on where you live, you might save on taxes.

But Amazon went totally nuts with some huge discounts.

Amazon slashed the price on three 13-inch MacBook Pro models by as much as $360. You can grab the entry-level MacBook Pro with Touch Bar for just $1,139.92 (normal price: $1,499). Or you can get the high-end 13-inch MacBook Pro for $1,799. The new MacBook Pro without a Touch Bar is also on sale for $1,299.

Update: It appears that Amazon’s stock of discounted MacBook Pros already ran out, but keep an eye on the links above in case new supplies become available.
