The world’s most popular drone maker, DJI, has decided to team up Apple for the launch of its incredibly smart new drone by making it exclusively available for pre-order via the Apple Store.

DJI unveiled its top-of-the-line new drone, the Phantom 4 this morning, that comes with a new “Obstacle Sensing System” that makes it easier than ever to killer aerial footage with minimal piloting experience.

The Phantom 4 drone will only be available at Apple Stores and DJI’s retail stores in Asia starting on March 15th. With a $1,399 price tag it’s the priciest Phantom drone the company has ever introduced, but the new features look worth it.

Along with being able to avoid trees, buildings, and people without a pilot behind the joysticks, the Phantom 4 can auto-track subjects and includes a new Sport Mode that makes it fly faster. The new streamlined design combined with a larger capacity battery also gives the Phantom 4 25% flying time.

The only place you’ll be able to get the Phantom 4 in the US will be through Apple, until March 23rd when units are expected to make their way to other retailers.
