Whether he’s giving Tim Cook unrequested business advice, inviting Steve Wozniak to see his newborn daughter, or talking about his admiration for Jony Ives (sic), Kanye West has proven himself to be a pretty unabashed Apple fan.
Which is why it’s probably no surprise that, when he took in on himself to organize a surprise party for wife Kim Kardashian’s 35th birthday, a special screening of Aaron Sorkin’s new Steve Jobs movie was top of the list.
According to a report, the special screening at a California theater kicked off the birthday festivities, which included virtually the entire Jenner/Kardashian clan and assorted hangers-on. There’s no word on what Kanye thought of the movie, but it’s certainly a subject close to his heart — given how Kanye has been vocal about considering himself the next Steve Jobs.
Kim Kardashian hasn’t done badly from Apple, either. Her iOS game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood — which lets players climb the social ranks of the A-list jet set — reportedly raked in a whopping $200 million last year.
That’ll pay for plenty of popcorn to go along with the movie.
