Apple Watch has been on our wrists for just five months and yet it is already having an amazing impact on many people’s lives.

We want to find out how Cult of Mac readers are using Cupertino’s fitness tech to get in shape, so we’re inviting everyone to share their inspiring stories. Plus, we’ve set up a new Cult of Mac club on Strava so you can connect with other readers who are into fitness.

Join the Cult of Mac club on Strava

Sharing your running, cycling and swimming workouts on our new Strava club will provide an amazing insight into the thousands of miles Cult of Mac readers are logging every day using their iPhones and Apple Watches.

On our club page you can connect with other readers, share your progress, compete for the top spot on our leaderboard, or engage in some friendly banter and trash talk on the discussion board. Plus you can share motivation and encouragement by giving “kudos,” (the Strava equivalent of Facebook Likes).

To join, all you need is a free Strava membership. Then just click the Join button on our club page.

If you use a different fitness-logging app, like Nike+, MapMyRun, Endomondo or Runtastic, you can import you workout data into Strava using apps like Matt Stuehler’s handy Nike+ Data Downloader.

Share your fitness story

During last week’s iPhone 6s keynote event, Tim Cook said Apple has been flooded by e-mails from users who have been motivated to exercise on a regular basis by Cupertino’s hardware. He read an e-mail from Dennis H, who said his Apple Watch had changed his life by helping him lose 30 pounds.

LoopInsight’s Jim Dalrymple is a high-profile example of the amazing things you can achieve with smart use of Apple’s fitness tech. He has lost over 40 pounds using HealthKit and Apple Watch.

Stories like those are important because they provide us with a fantastic source of inspiration, revealing just what is possible when you set your mind to it.

I’ve previously shared my story of how I used fitness gadgets to turn my life around. Now it’s your turn.

Has Apple Watch helped you get in shape? Have you integrated it into your training routine? How are you using HealthKit? What apps have helped you get results?

Whether you’ve lost weight, improved your marathon time or are simply enjoying the health benefits of standing up more frequently, tell us about it, and we’ll share the most inspiring stories right here on Cult of Mac. E-mail me.
