New iOS 9 beta goodies are here

Developers have been toying around with Apple’s latest iOS 9 betas for over a month now, but starting today, everyone can download and install the latest iOS 9 beta, even if you’re not a developer.

Apple’s public beta for iOS 9 was made available to the public this morning, giving everyone access to all the new features that won’t officially launch until the Fall.

To get the beta on your device, head over to Apple’s public beta website and register. Once you’ve signed up you can download and install iOS 9 on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch by manually restoring it in iTunes.

Installing iOS 9 on your main device is definitely not recommended, as the software is still full of bugs and might break some of your favorite apps. But if you can’t wait until the fall to get a taste of the future of iOS, backup your device and take the plunge.
