Can you hear that giant “Squeeeeee!”? That’s the sound of Apple fans in Asia and Australian taking delivery of the very first Apple Watches.
In time zones where it’s already April 24, the wearable now adorns the wrists of delighted buyers who put in their orders immediately after Apple Watch went on sale earlier this month. These earliest of Apple Watch adopters were only too happy to show off their purchases on Twitter, Instagram and other services.
In the U.K., a man who had travelled from Spain to get the device, was mobbed by photographers when he became one of the first people to leave the boutique Dover Street Market store in Mayfair with his new device.

Others, still awaiting Apple Watch shipments scheduled for Friday, could barely contain their anticipatory glee.

Except for this guy.
Sudden depression at realizing that my Apple Watch is going to be delivered tomorrow & I’ll be boarding a plane with no one to accept it. — Nabeel Hyatt (@nabeel) April 24, 2015
Some Apple Watch buyers were disheartened Thursday as long wait times persisted — even for those who ordered within minutes of the wearable’s April 10 launch.
So my Apple Watch shipment notification came but it’s not delivered until next week?! I had my order in within 1-2 minutes. Wow
