Checkmark was already the best app for location-based reminders, but with today’s 2.0 update, it has become one of the most sleek and powerful to-do apps for iPhone, period.

Snowman has rebuilt Checkmark for iOS 7, and version 2 includes a host of new features.

The main strength of Checkmark 2 is how many options there are for adding and managing tasks. Instead of merely assigning a reminder to a specific location, like the workplace, you can now create different lists and projects with their own headers. Reoccurring reminders can be set in nearly any way you want, whether it be every Monday and Wednesday, biweekly, or once a month.

Just about everything in Checkmark has been improved, including the app’s hallmark location reminders. You can add multiple locations to one group now, so you can be reminded to pick up groceries at more than one store, for example. Using the app’s tie-in to Maps, custom geofences around a location can be created to specify when you want the app to alert you.

Overall, Checkmark 2 is a well designed to-do app with an impressive feature set. Especially if you’re looking for an app that specializes in location-based reminders, it doesn’t get better than this. Checkmark 2 is on sale now for $2.99.
