Actor Ashton Kutcher Reportedly Set To Play Steve Jobs In New Biopic

The “Two and a Half Men” star Ashton Kutcher is set to play Steve Jobs in a new indie film, chronicling the earlier years of the Apple co-founder. The new film is set to start filming in May, when Kutcher takes a break from filming “Two and a Half Men.” It looks like the former “Punk’d” host might have to grow out his hair and grow a beard in the mean time, too.

Variety reports that the film is set to be financed and produced by Five Star Institute’s Mark Hulme, while Matt Whiteley will write the script for the film. Since it’s the early years of Steve Jobs when he was co-founding Apple, we assume the other co-founders Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne will be portrayed too. It will be interesting to see which actors are chosen.

Released in 1999, the film “Pirates of Silicon Valley” also portrayed the founding of Apple and chronicled the Cupertino-based company’s competition with Microsoft.

Despite today being April Fools day, we think this is legitimate.

You know April fools joke or not, I actually think he is the out of left field candidate that could probably do the job best. Never would of him but not it seams perfect.

  8. FilthyMacNasty says:

With that natural “deer in the headlights” look, I would think he should be cast as Steve Ballmer.

  9. Mrlancehall says:

To be fair, Ashton performs the character well that was written for him. The problem is they wrote another Allen instead of a Charlie type. Ashton could have easily played an arrogant quick witted playboy with an alcohol problem.

  10. MichaeltheK says:

Mr Kutcher will be joined by Katherine Heigl as Mother Teresa, Jean Claude Van Damme as Mohammed Ali n the upcoming biopic. Lindsay Lohan will have a cameo as Eleanor Roosevelt.
