Cult of Mac is proud to announce our official partnership with Craig Fox and the rest of the team at WWJC, the first jailbreak convention to hit the United States. As we told you before, JailbreakCon, or the World Wide Jailbreak Convention, will be taking place on September 29th in beautiful San Francisco, California.
Early bird ticket sales have begun, so get your convention pass now at a discount. A one-person early bird pass costs $65 and gets you full access to the convention floor all day on Saturday, September 29th. You can get a VIP pass for $155 and that guarantees you unlimited access to everything (competitions, product demos, main stage presentations, all hands-on workshops, etc.) and a few more perks, like free WWJC merchandise. There’s also an option for a group of 4 admission pass, so check out all the details (including venue information) on the JailbreakCon website. Merchandise is also available, including t-shirts, hoodies, and some cool iPhone skins.
JailbreakCon is going to be a lot of fun for jailbreak enthusiasts and curious onlookers alike. Jay ‘saurik‘ Freeman, the creator of Cydia, will be headlining the convention, and there’s a host of great speakers and workshop leaders already lined up. The greatest minds in the jailbreak community will all be gathered to share ideas and network. Tickets have already been purchased from countries like Indonesia, Germany, Australia and Singapore. You’ll probably be surprised by some of the people that show up.
For example, infamous hacker Justin Williams has developed a curriculum for learning how to hack the iPhone that he will be walking through in a hands-on workshop. You’ll also get to hear talks on the state of jailbreaking and iOS exploits by masterminds like Joshua Hill and iOPK of the Chronic Dev Team. There will be something for everyone, not to mention the after party!
I’ll be attending JailbreakCon and providing breaking coverage for the Cult of Mac audience. If you’re in the area or plan on attending, let everyone know in the comments!
