Microsoft’s My Documents Folder Makes Triumphant Return – On iPad

20100209-mydocuments.jpg

Earlier today, I was reading Infoworld’s article, The iPad questions Apple won’t answer. The first question they listed was “Can you save and transfer documents to the iPad?”, and their assumed answer was “No”; they suggested that the only way to do this would be to open a document from an email message.
I read that [...]

Top 5 Things To Check Out at Macworld 2010

Macworld 2010 opens today. It is the 25th annual gathering of Mac users. That’s right, 25 years!
But thanks to the absence of Apple this year, this “Mecca for Mac Heads” may be the last. So check it out while you can.

The show runs for 5 days. The Expo showfloor opens on Thursday at noon.

Opinion: MacBook, or iMac + iPad?

20100208-imacipad.jpg

The announcement of the iPad has done a lot of things: it’s stoked up excitement in the Mac using community, it’s got a bunch of developers feverishly coding exciting new stuff, and it’s got retailers and cell phone companies the world over drooling over the money they can make from it.
And it’s also somewhat upset [...]

In Depth: 30 Days with the Nexus One

It’s been a month since my review of Google’s “SuperPhone”, the Nexus One. Since that time, we’ve surfed, updated facebook, navigated, called, played endless hands of cribbage and even tried to freeze it to death on a trip to Dayton Ohio. Follow me after the jump to find out does the “SuperPhone” stand the [...]

iPhone App Biz for Sale on eBay

Picture 1

Pssst: If you want to get in on the iPhone app business, there’s one for sale on eBay.

The starting bid for JBMJBM, LLC. — an app factory with 87 approved ones so far — is $100,000 and ends Saturday, Nov. 14

Top-selling titles include Friday Night Lights, iSpy Game, iReferee, iSexyRef (pictured above, which helps muddled sports fans remember the rules), iSexyRef2, Pro Rodeo Fan, Sit Up Counter and Shake 2 Count.

Buy the developer out and you get 87 applications currently listed on iTunes plus all application assets which include source code files, website files and all collateral.

“In an incredible (sic) short time, JBMJBM has simply grown out of my hands,” said Brice Milliorn, developer and founder of the company. “I am unable to properly market what I have. If an interested party has time to market them, their results should be much better.”

Milliorn, who founded the company in July, says he has sold over 30,000 applications in those four months. He didn’t disclose exactly how much money he made, but it seems that all of his apps go for $0.99 so if our math checks out that’s $20,790 since Apple keeps 30% of the app store revenue.

As of this writing there were no bids, but we’ll keep you posted.

I think that should be called “i scary-looking tranny ref,” or “refuge from 90’s clip art package ref.”

Well, don’t know about YOUR math, but my math would either suggest $29,700 as total revenue of the apps or rather $20,790 (70%) as the revenue of the company since Apple keeps 30%.

Still, I would not buy that “company” (which, in this case, stands for a couple of source files and a shaky revenue stream).

I work in real estate and we do a 5-6 yr average for buying potential. This guy is selling $100 per day or so according to http://www.jbrice.com/sell and even if we do a 2-3 yr average, it pays for it self before then but who knows if the charts or right but they look good! Just a though.
