Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has heard all the rumors that Apple plans to kill the century-old 3.5mm headphone jack with the iPhone 7 and he’s got some important advice for the company: don’t do it!

“If it’s missing the 3.5mm earphone jack, that’s going to tick off a lot of people,” Woz said in an interview with the Australian Financial Review.

The iPhone 7 is expected to include a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter so owners can still use their old headphones. New wireless EarPods may also be in the works, allowing you to stream audio over Bluetooth, but Woz says that would suck too.

“I would not use Bluetooth … I don’t like wireless. I have cars where you can plug in the music, or go through Bluetooth, and Bluetooth just sounds so flat for the same music.”

A slew of leaks show that Woz is in for some serious disappointment. The headphone jack is expected to be replaced by a second speaker. The new device will supposedly be more waterproof and come with a new pressure-sensitive home button, dual-lens camera and other internal improvements.

“If there’s a Bluetooth 2 that has higher bandwidth and better quality, that sounds like real music, I would use it. But we’ll see. Apple is good at moving towards the future, and I like to follow that.”

Obviously no one has told the inventor of the Apple II that the iPhone 6s already comes with Bluetooth 4.2.
