Finding something fun to do in your city is about to become as easy as opening up the Facebook app.

Beginning today, Facebook users in 10 cities across the U.S. will be able to view Featured Events in the iOS app that have been handpicked by Facebook’s curators to highlight the coolest art, entertainment, festivals, concerts and sports events you should check out.

“You can think about it like a weekend or weekly digest of cool stuff that you can do in your city,” Facebook Events product manager Aditya Koolwal told TechCrunch.

The list of first cities that will support the feature includes Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C. The social network says it will likely roll out Featured Events to more cities if it works well.

Featured Events will also be broken down into specific categories like Music, Food, Sports and more. The company also is adding time frames so you can start planning for your weekend festivities in advance.

Facebook’s curated events will be found among other event suggestions that are recommended to users based on an algorithm that looks at previous events, past attendance and whether your friends are going.
