After years of avoiding the App Store like the plague, Microsoft’s been releasing iPhone app after iPhone app. Most are pretty good, but Microsoft’s latest app is for the dogs: literally.

A product of Microsoft’s Garage Division, Fetch! is an app that uses Project Oxford’s image API to automatically give you information about a dog, such as its breed.

Here’s how Microsoft describes the app:

Fetch! is designed for repeat use, and after giving it a couple tries, it’s easy to see how addictive it can be. You start with your dog, or your friends’ dogs. If the dog’s breed is unknown, the app will show a percentage of the closest breed. Tapping the percentage rosette leads to the top five breeds that could be in the dog. Clicking on the arrow in the corner leads you to more information on the breed.

The best thing about the app? There’s a mode that you can use to take pictures of humans, and Fetch! will tell you what breed they would be if they were dogs. Pro tip: don’t use it on your girlfriend.
