Rumors that the iPhone 6s will receive a new 12-megapixel camera with 4K video recording got a boost today — thanks to a document allegedly leaked by a Foxconn employee.
The document also suggests that the iPhone 6s’ front-facing camera will receive a massive upgrade from the 1.2-megapixel sensor found in current iPhones thanks to a new 5-megapixel sensor.

The documents were initially shared by Weibo user KJuma, although he later deleted them. In addition to information about the camera sensors, the documents suggest that both the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will boast 2GB of RAM.
A previous report by well-connected KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo first made mention of the RAM upgrade and improved 12-megapixel camera (although it didn’t mention the 5MP front-facing camera). Kuo also suggested that the next-gen iPhone will boast a significant processor upgrade, new rose-gold color option, possible sapphire display for the iPhone 6s Plus, strengthened shell, improved Touch ID and Force Touch.
A recent report from Bloomberg made mention of the fact that Apple has already started early production of its new iPhone models — meaning that today’s supposed Foxconn leak could certainly be a genuine one.
For the sake of iPhone camera addicts everywhere, we certainly hope so!

I don’t know why you fucktards automatically suppose that, if somebody wants a better camera or sapphire glass or more memory etc… automatically wants, also, a gigantic 45″ display that doesn’t even fit your backpack. fuck no.
Isn’t Apple trying to play catch up with their camera and optics on the iPhone since they have been eating dust for the past two years since another brand brought out a camera that put Apples attempt to shame and supposedly Apple is suppose to be the great innovator for smartphones and hardware and software that goes in them. Well for the over priced iPhone Apple had better smarten the F**k up since if it wants to keep it’s market share and their bottom line padded, they had better start innovating, since they are beginning to flounder because of their own success. The Apple Watch isn’t a Apple product I would invest in.
Huh? Apple’s camera still ranks usually in the top 3(a 2014 phone compared to 2015 phones)..And doing so with just 8MP.. while others are at 12MP, 16MP and 20MP. It still wins many shoot outs compared to the TOP phones.. plus it is still QUICKER then almost ANY camera on the market.. Its not just about MP. The sensor and other factors help push Apple to the top.. and HOW ARE THEY BEGINNING TO FLOUNDER?? Sales of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are breaking records for them. It is likely they will be up 40% for the quarter that JUST ended compared to last year.. 50 million vs 32 million in sales.. so.. again.. how are they floundering? Also.. by most all accounts and tracking.. The Apple Watch sold more in its first week, then 5 (combined sales) Android Wear watches did in 6 months.. again. where is the floundering..?
Don’t start yelling that I am an Apple fanboy.. My current phone is a Nexus 6 and my smartwatch is a Moto 360.. I just like to live in reality.. based on truths and facts.. Not made up fantasy..
maybe they haven’t poured all their energy into huge camera updates because 99.9% of people don’t give a single f**k these days about having a better camera than what currently ships. Camera upgrades were hugely necessary around iPhone 4 time but now changes are hardly even noticeable for regular consumers.. All top flagship phones (except maybe HTC one?) have amazing cameras and comparison is basically pointless now. Honestly I wouldn’t care if they announced the same camera with big upgrades in other hardware areas and I take a lot of photos
isn’t this article stating the obvious like 96% of iPhone 6S articles?
