Facebook and GIFs seem like they’ve both been fixtures of the Internet forever, but it has taken until 2015 for the two to finally hookup.

Starting today, Facebook users can annoy friends with the most amazing GIFs the web has to offer. Unfortunately, you can’t upload your favorite GIFs directly to Facebook but you can embed them from other websites.

Here’s how to do it:

1 – Copy a link to a GIF hosted on any site.
2 – Paste the link into your status
3 – Enter your text, emojis, musings, or whatever
4 – Hit Enter

GIFs don’t play automatically, but your friends will see a preview of the GIF in their timeline with a Play button. Hopefully Facebook will add support for uploads in the future. Until then, here are a couple of our favorite sources for GIFs to begin your assault with.
