Like an autopsy performed on a cadaver that’s yet to be born, slick new renderings dissect the Apple Watch and show off its shiny guts.

Since few normal people have an actual Apple Watch in hand, concept artist Martin Hajek created the images using information gleaned from Apple’s website and industrial porn videos about the making of the smartwatch.

In addition to a couple dozen images, which you can see on Hajek’s website, the artist is also selling a downloadable 3-D model of his Apple Watch visuals, which he calls “ideal for exploded views or animations.”

“Highly detailed model of the 42mm Apple Watch with components inside,” he writes. “You can use this model to simulate an exploded view of the Apple Watch!”

Hajek — whose website bears the tagline “Visualizing the future in 3D one rendering at a time” — is a serial producer of great concept art based on Cupertino’s product lines.

In the past, he’s done iWatch concepts (remember when we thought that would be the name?), a rose gold iPhone 6s and even an Apple-designed lightsaber.

This batch of concept images go from sleek exploded views (like the one above) to desktop displays (below) like you might see after iFixit gets its hands on a real Apple Watch.

If you’re a non-celebrity waiting for your precious smartwatch to arrive in the mail this Friday (at the earliest), Hajek’s virtual Apple Watch teardown will give you some eye candy to help you kill some time.
