Did you roll your eyes when you saw the latest MacBook had a new kind of USB port?

So did the website College Humor, which went to work satirizing Apple’s pride in its product design.

Under the headline Why Every New MacBook Needs a Different Goddam Charger, College Humor released a new video that pokes fun at the latest Apple laptop.

The new MacBook has a single USB Type C port, which tech industry analysts say is the coming standard for all computer products though rumors persist that Apple, known for building proprietary connectors, invented USB-C.

The bit feels like one of those promotional videos Apple might show at one of its big product rollouts. There is a voiceover of someone doing their best Jony Ive giving a smug, f-bomb-dropping explanation on why Apple changed the charger for the new Macbook.

Then an actor playing Tim Cook appears and is dismissive of the confusion created by the variety of generations of charging chords. He then reveals that the port has changed yet again over the course of making the commercial.

The video needs no introduction, especially if frequently visit College Humor and no what to expect. A line of snark on the website explaining the video reads: “We can make a computer fit in an envelope, but I guess we’re still working out the kinks on the charger.”
