Do you still dream of the day when the iPad and MacBook finally converge in beautiful harmony? Are you also really jazzed about the Apple’s big ass iPad rumors? Well if you’ve got a measly $4000 laying around, Modbook is ready to sell you the tablet of your dreams.

The company created a new Kickstarter campaign to the support the launch of its new ModBook Pro X tablet which transforms any 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro, into a quad-core OS X tablet so powerful you might as well toss your desktop in the trash.

Watch the full sales pitch below:

The campaign is seeking $150,000 for launch, which might not take long to reach if they find enough rich artsy designers willing to pay $1999 to have their own MacBook Pro converted into a ModBook Pro X. You can also pay $3999 or more for a complete ModBook Pro X with a 2.2 GHz quad-core Intel i7 processor, Intel Iris Pro 5200 graphics, 16GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.

The Modbook Pro X will support OS X 10.10 when it ships in February, and with its expansive 2880×1800 resolution and accompanying Studio Pen you’ll have way more space than any cheapskate who just waits for the launch of the 12-inch iPad Pro.
