Realmac Software today confirmed that the much-anticipated update that will bring reminders to Clear for iOS will arrive in April. It was originally due to arrive this month, but the company has been working hard to ensure everything’s just right before it goes live.

“The team has been working incredibly hard to make this happen, however we also want to make reminders as intuitive as possible – and that means we’ve been constantly tweaking and refining how things work,” writes Realmac founder Dan Counsell on the company’s blog.

“The changes mean we’ve over-run from our (already-delayed) March launch – and we’re now looking to release the updates in early April.”

Realmac says it understands that a lot of users will be disappointed with this news, and it apologizes to those who were eagerly anticipating an update this month. But it’s not just reminders we’ll get when the new release hits the App Store.

Clear will also offer the ability to customize sounds, and it will come with two all-new sound packs that will be free to Clear+ customers (and available as an in-app purchase to everyone else). The sound packs will be available in Clear for Mac, too, where they’ll be free for all users.
