In iOS 6, the dock was a glass shelf. In iOS 7, it’s far more abstract: a blurry transparent layer over your wallpaper.

Some people love it, some people hate it. If you’re one of the latter, and you have already jailbroken your iOS 7 device, you’re in for a treat: a new jailbreak tweak lets you adjust the transparency and blurriness of the iOS 7 dock to your heart’s content.

The tweak is called DockShift. Developed by NG, it allows you to make the iOS 7 dock look however you want: glass shelf, blurry transparency, or anywhere in between.

Options include:

• Transparent
• Milk glass – opaque
• Milk glass – bit less opaque
• Milk glass – less opaque
• Milk glass – bit clear
• Milk glass – clearer
• Milk glass – clear
• Dark milk glass – opaque
• Dark milk glass – bit less opaque
• Blurried – most blurry
• Blurried – in between
• Blurried – clearer

Basically, then, if you feel existentially unsatisfied by the blurriness or lack thereof of iOS 7, this tweak will keep you covered. You can grab it right now from Cydia’s BigBoss repo for the big, fat cost of nothing.
