It’s finally here, folks — the iPad mini with Retina display is now available to order from the Apple online store. Prices start at $399 for a 16GB Wi-Fi model, which are currently shipping in 1-3 business days. Those equipped with LTE connectivity start at $529, and they’re shipping in 5-10 business days.

The new iPad mini was announced alongside the iPad Air late last month, but while the larger model went on sale just over a week later, Apple told us its smaller sibling would be available “later in November.” So when the Apple online store went down earlier today, we knew what was coming.

You now have plenty of time to bag yourself a Retina iPad mini before Christmas, then, but you’ll probably need to act pretty fast. Rumor has it the device is in very short supply, so if you don’t get your order in before shipping times start slipping, it’s unclear when your device will be delivered.

The Retina iPad mini is essentially the same as the iPad Air, but it’s a couple inches smaller; you no longer have to make any sacrifices if you choose to go with the smaller device. It has the same 64-bit A7 processor and M7 motion coprocessor, the same ten-hour battery life, and the same MIMO Wi-Fi technology.

It even has the same resolution as the larger model, which means a greater pixel density at 326 pixels-per-inch.

The Retina iPad mini is available in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage options, and with or without LTE connectivity. Like the iPad Air, it’s available in space gray and silver.
