Tim Cook made a public appearance at the Palo Alto Apple Store this morning for the launch of the iPhone 5s and 5c, and it looks like he may have finally taken to a Twitter account he created back in July to share about the experience in his first tweet ever.

No official word from Apple if this is legit yet, but there are quite a few influential people in tech who have started following this Tim Cook account already. Phil Schiller also just retweeted it, which is about as official an endorsement as you can get other than
Update: Based on Tim Cook’s follow list, the Twitter account @laurenejobs indeed belongs to Laurene Powell Jobs – widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and one of the most powerful women in Silicon Valley.
Update 2: Twitter has verified that the @Tim_Cook really is Mr. Fortune Cookie himself.
