Magnetyze Wireless Charging Case Arrives For The iPhone 5

It should be apparent by now that wires are an endangered species, what with the recent explosive popularity of Bluetooth for transmission of sound and data, and the growing ability to keep everything constantly synced with the cloud.

The lone holdout restraining the iPhone from breaking free is the charging cable—but even that’s on its way out. Case in point, Buqu Tech’s Magnetyze wireless charging case for the iPhone 5 is now available.

Like its Galaxy S3 and iPhone 4/S siblings, the case allows wireless charging via the Magnetyze wall, desk, car or USB chargers.

It sounds pretty easy to set up. The Magnetyze case slips onto the back of the iPhone and plugs into the Lightning connector; just drop the encased phone onto a Magnetyze charger and magnets hold the phone in place while it charges.

For $60 you get the charging case and a USB cable with a charger at the end. From there you can add accessories, like the $60 car charger (which doubles as a mount) or the $40 desk charger (which doubles as a stand).
