The iOS 6.1 jailbreak is dropping within the week. A group of hackers known as the Evad3rs have been working on it for months, and when it’s released, all current iOS devices will be compatible (with the exception of the third-gen Apple TV).

While we’ve known that a new jailbreak is coming, details have remained relatively scare. Until now. An official home has been given for the iOS 6.1 jailbreak: evasi0n.com

The official @evad3rs account tweeted the site link out today. Several fake websites promoting an iOS 6.1 jailbreak have popped up, but this one is the real deal. The Evad3rs note that the jailbreak is about to go into beta testing before its public release.

The free evasi0n jailbreak tool will be available for Mac, Windows, and Linux. It will support all iOS devices capable of running iOS 6.0-6.1. All you’ll need to do is plug in your device and let the tool do its thing for about 5 minutes.

We’ll let you know when evasi0n becomes available for everyone in the next few days! In the meantime, refer to our guide to getting ready for the iOS 6.1 jailbreak.

I’m excited!! I’ve really missed my jailbreak since upgrading to iOS 6.0! And now I have the iPhone 5, so I’m doubly excited.
