Skinny Mojo Speaker Is Like a Steamrollered Jambox [Kickstarter]

Here’s how you start an e-mail pitch:

In your last post about the Braven 570, I loved how you said that someday you might stop writing about candy bar shaped speakers. Well, today is the day for a Bluetooth speaker that shaped like, well, paper.

That speaker is the CoverPlay Mojo, a skinny speaker that will snuggle into your luggage between your shirts, instead of needing to be jammed inside a shoe like all its stupid, oafish rivals.

The Mojo weighs just 110 grams (about four ounces) and is 7mm thick, which is like ten yards or something. It charges via USB, connects with Bluetooth and puts out almost 100 decibels. I do wonder, though, if those decibels are as thin and reedy as the speaker itself, or fat and heavy like those from a proper-shaped speaker.

You can send some money to the maker in the hope that one day the Mojo will be manufactured and sent to you, via everybody’s favorite gambling machine, Kickstarter. In this case the buy-in is $120, with various early-bird discounts for, well, for early birds.

Off you go…
