Retina Support Comes To Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS6

Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 versions are now Retina display ready, and available for download via Adobe Software Update. You can also grab the update file directly from the Adobe website.

According to Gizmodo’s Jesus Diaz, the new version of Photoshop actuall knows the relative resolution of your screen, and changes things accordingly. That’s pretty slick.

Calling this a “must-have upgrade” for Macbook Pro 15 or 13-inch users, Diaz notes that icons and palette text is now ultra sharp and defined.

The Photoshop patch notes say, “The Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1 update includes many critical fixes improving security, stability and performance while also addressing a number of high priority bugs with 3D, Crop, Type, Painting, Paths, and Shapes.” No mention of Retina anything, but that’s not too surprising, now, is it?
