Scott Forstall’s Official New Title Is ‘Special Advisor To The Chief Executive Officer’

Now that fiscal 2012 is over, Apple has filed its year-end 10k document to the SEC that contains a trove of financial data. Also contained in the filing is an item that contains information about Scott Forstall’s new role.

Forstall was removed as Senior Vice President of Mobile Software on Monday but will be stay at till 2013 in a special role under Tim Cook too keep him from jumping ship to a competitor. Forstall’s new official title is “Special Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer.”

Here’s the exact info from Apple’s 10-k filing:

“Item 9B. Other Information

Effective October 29, 2012, Scott Forstall, the Company’s Senior Vice President of Mobile Software, has transitioned from that position into a new role as Special Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer.”

While Apple most likely won’t give the public specific details of Forstall’s status with Apple. more information about his role in the company and the financials of his severance with Apple will probably be revealed in future SEC filings.

The Mac operating system would be pure shit -> just as it was circa 1999 < - if it wasn't for this guy. So before you all bash him just remember he was one who greatly helped the technology behind Apple to get it where it is today.

Cheers Mr. Forstall -> I look forward to you working at Google or Microsoft in the near future.

For a guy who did so much good at Apple, you sure picked a horrible pic of him. It’s all in good fun though, I get it. ;)

Should have made him work as a Specialist in a retail store so he can explain to customers why iOS 6 sucks.

And according to my sources, he doesn’t let anyone at Corp forget it. They say he is a total ass who won’t take feedback from anyone and wouldn’t other than Steve. That folks tried to point out some of the issues with iOS 6 but he brushed it off to finish his special little bits of flair etc. The refusal to take one over maps in the name of customer faith was just the tip of the iceberg. He was none for being quick to point out and hype up ‘flaws’ in others work, especially Ive, but concerned everything from iOS someone else’s doing not his.

Oh and folks were sick of his riding on something from almost 15 years ago as why he deserves respect while ‘what has he does lately’ was touted in nasty emails he’d send to the team under his command to talk smack about others Iike Ive, Mansfield even Cook.
