iRock, The iPad-Charging Rocking Chair

iRock, The iPad-Charging Rocking Chair

Just when you thought an iPhone or iPad dock had been built into every possible household object, here comes the iRocking Chair. In looks, it's a pretty traditional rocker, but it has some surprises built in. Not least is the fact that it can charge an iPad 3.

The chair has a generator down on one runner which juices the attached iDevice. The product page claims that it can boost an iPad 3's battery by 35% in an hour. I haven't actually timed the charging period for my iPad but I'm pretty sure it takes more than three hours to fill up its huge battery, so this chair seems like magic.

The charger isn't its only trick, either. There are a pair of speaker in the headrest, so you can soothe yourself with some of Brian Eno's Ambient Music for Airports as you rock yourself to sleep.

It sounds ideal. All apart from the price that is. The iRocker will cost you a steep, steep €1,800, or around $2,330. Good luck relaxing after paying that for a chair.
