World’s Smallest Folding Bluetooth Keyboard [Kickstarter]

Click-clack-CLUNK! That’s the sound a Transformer makes when it, uh, transforms. And that’s the sound I imagine the Jorno makes when it transforms from stout, ugly black box into miniature-but-not-too-tiny Bluetooth keyboard.

The Jorno, currently Kickstartering itself, is billed as the “world’s smallest folding Bluetooth Keyboard.” Whether that’s true or not is moot, as this thing really is tiny. It works with any phone or tablet with a Bluetooth connection and comes with a (detachable) cradle to hold that device in place as you type, and apparently it’s sturdy enough to hold an iPad in portrait orientation.

Some of the suggested use cases are frankly idiotic, though. In the car? At lunch (the last thing you should be doing at lunchtime is working). But the convenience of having a keyboard always with you is compelling.

I’ll stick with my regular keyboard cases, though. Because if I’m taking an iPad with me in my bag, then the same-sized keyboard case really takes up no more space. But for phone users with no bags and no aversion to overloaded back pockets, this looks ideal. $100, with some offers for early pledgers.
