Watch This Idiot Thief Crash His BMW Through The Apple Store Glass [Video]

Why is it that all Apple Store burglars have to have the intellectual capacity of a six year-old hyped up on Mountain Dew? Our latest Apple thief, Equonne R. Howard, decided it’d be a great idea to ram his BMW X-5 through the front glass of the Temecula Apple Store and steal a bunch of Apple products.

What Howard didn’t count on happening, was getting two flat tires in the process, and the drop gate for the store closing. He reversed full speed into the drop gate a couple times and eventually got out, but the dummy’s license plate fell off and he got caught when he went back later to retrieve it. Brilliant! Watch the video below to see his car crashing through the glass:

Any reason why he stole mostly iPhones (iPod touches) and iPads? All those MacBook Pros and Retina MacBooks sitting 20 feet away? Clearly, a pretty stupid burglar, but still. That seems obvious. Maybe I’m missing something.

A lot easier to sell and iPad/iPod/iPhone than a laptop.

Thoses devices would be worthless. The second someone tried to add them to their iTunes account, they’d be flagged and the cops would show up shortly thereafter. Thieves just don’t understand that.

By nature, thieves are not very bright. If they were they’d realize that robbery and property vandalism don’t pay very well, and that they’re very likely to get caught by the police. Only the very stupid believe they can steal someone else’s hard work and effort and expect to get off scott-free. Criminals operate on a “what’s good for me” attitude, and have difficulty conceiving of the effects of their crimes on the people and companies they steal from. Criminals also have a poor ability to think about future consequences of their acts. This basic stupidity causes them to make boneheaded mistakes like using a car with a license plate than can be traced. Duh! Quite fortunately, most intelligent people aren’t criminals because they’re able to think about future consequences of their acts and seek to avoid getting into trouble.

I don’t condone stealing! But…..F***ing with Apple is all well in good. Yes these thieves were IDIOTS, and yes I hope they go to jail. But boy this made me smile! #boycottapple.

I bet the damage on his car and lawyer fees will cost way more than what he stole

Ramming your BMW X5 to get into the Apple store, seriously he should have just added GTA to his rep and used someone else’s car and save his $60k BMW for his perp walk.

Sorry, this asinine comment needs to be slammed. Stealing and public vandalism are illegal and bad news regardless of who is being messed with regardless of your feelings toward them. If Apple was boycotted and went out of business, who would Samsung, Acer, HTC, Google, Amazon and all the other phone and tablet wannabes copy from? Without Apple we’d all still have flip phones, physical keyboards and tiny screens. There would be no tablets as we currently know them. Instead of all the MacBook Air imitators and their “ultra books” there would only be cheap plastic, plodding, tiny, underpowered netbooks. Boycott Apple all you want, but you’re biting the R&D that EVERYONE else is following.
