Steve Wozniak Shares His Thoughts On Google Glass And Microsoft’s Surface Tablet

Steve Wozniak speaking at the Entel summit.

Steve Wozniak recently spoke at the Entel Summit in Chile, and as usual, expressed his thoughts on emerging technology. Wozniak offered his opinion on Google Glass, Microsoft’s Surface tablet, and even the Kim Dotcom case surrounding Megaupload.

Wozniak expressed strong feelings towards the Government and Kim Dotcom, saying:

Kim Dotcom was so successful, and he was well known for his flagrance, and his sports cars, and his racing cars, and his style of life, that he was made an easy target…. He was the biggest in the world, and they swamped in on him.

Steve is also apparently a fan of the Microsoft Surface, and is looking forward to future successes for Microsoft:

I do see a lot of stuff coming out from Microsoft in the consumer arena. A lot of people like to say that Microsoft’s had no successes in the last so many years, but the Xbox is a success, and certainly Kinect… I do want to see the Surface, I want to use one, I want to own one.

The entire clip of Wozniak has been uploaded to YouTube, and you can view it here:

    Still not sure why I should care what a has-been like Woz thinks about anything. It’s not 1978 anymore.

  • BrandonSLM

    no one gives a shit what this guy says.

  • pollix

    I can’t believe people are still taking this guy seriously. Fine, he was one of the founders of Apple. He doesn’t have any relation with them any longer so his thoughts are just that. They have zero impact on what Apple or any other company does today.

  • Zeteboy

    Seems like a turncoat to me.

  • iMultiscreen

    He’s smart, he’s successful, and he’s the most objective voice coming out of the Apple camp I have heard – it lends more credence to Apple! Apple should rehire Wozniak.

    Apple is squashing innovation with all the power and funds it withheld from the US via taxes, by exploiting every legal tax loophole initiated by the mob back in the 20th century, with all its might!

    @BrandonSLM:
    “no one gives a shit what this guys says”

    Well, the only people that care what he says are the ones that have the ability to form their own opinions rather than just drink the Apple Kool-Aid and follow the rest of the pack off the cliff.

    Let’s put things in perspective.
    Woz was one of the co-founders of Apple.
    Woz is a tech-enthusiast.
    Woz is one of the reasons you enjoy your little Fisher Price toys today.

    He’s far from irrelevant.

    But it’s fun listening to the sheep bray.

  • miloducillo

    @Zeteboy:

    He’s not a turncoat.
    You see, he has a mind of his own and owes no allegiance to Apple just because he has the gall to make his own decisions.

    But “turncoat” is a word I expect to hear to describe someone who breaks free of the cult.
