InstaMatch, An Instagram Memory Game

InstaMatch, An Instagram Memory Game

Unbelievably, Instamatch makes the memory card game non-boring

Are you a fan of Instagram? Of course you are. And are you also a fan of those frustrating memory games where you have to flip over cards and match the pictures? I thought not. But if you are — you freak, you — then InstaMatch might be right up your alley.

InstaMatch is a Universal app which draws the cards for the memory game from the excellent photo sharing service Instagram. You can either use your own photos, or browse others by tag. Hit play and up pops an a grid of cards, with two of each photo hidden amongst them. Easy mode gives you 12 cards, medium 30, and hard moves the cards as you play. This last is clearly for masochists or Rain Man.

I hate these games, but I actually find this one kind of fun. And if you pick photos other than your own, it’s a pretty great way to explore Instagram. You can even favorite pictures as you play with a double tap. And should you be lucky enough to own friends, you can play with up to three other people.

The app costs just a dollar. Were it more, I’d skip it, only because I don’t like these games much. But for a dollar, this game is very slick and polished, and worth it just for a few hours play.
