The MobileMount Promises to Be The Strongest Mount for Your iOS Device

We’ve come across some awesome Kickstarter projects for iOS device accessories, and the MobileMount is most certainly up there with the best of them. Its a simple device that uses two suction cups to securely mount your iOS devices — or any device for that matter — to a flat service.

The best thing about the MobileMount is that it uses ‘Twist-to-Lock’ suction cups to ensure its grip is incredibly strong and secure. Unlike rival mounts, which can lose grip after a few hours, the MobileMount promises to hold onto your device for weeks at a time.

For devices with a matte finish, the MobileMount comes with four vinyl circles which use the same material that’s used to wrap cars and trucks, so it promises to be water tight and incredibly durable.

To get your hands on a MobileMount, you can pledge $25 to get the black model, or $30 to it in limited edition white. For $50 or more, you’ll get two MobileMounts — one in black and the other in white. Pledge $100 or more and you’ll get five MobileMounts and 20 vinyl circles.

The MobileMount looks like it’s functional, strong, and very minimal. What do you think?

Looks very cool and sleek, but like most people i have a case which is not smooth, and a suction cup would not adhere to it. In fact, not that I think about it, I don’t know anyone who uses an iphone without a case.

Already have a nice mount, but this is a neat concept.

The vinyl circles are for that reason exactly, they make the case smooth.  That way you could use the mount with cases that have a matte finish or rubberized finish. You could see in the video that the mount even works on a wall! I have an iPhone 4 and you don’t even have to take off the bumper for the mount to stick.

I use an iPhone without a case.. So much nicer in the hands.. the way it was meant to feel.  I bet Steve Jobs didn’t use a case either

    “to a flat service.”

    Surface.

I dont use a case either. Hate the way the cases feel.

  • Jose Sanchez

I agree! I like a bumper less iPhone but I don’t trust myself because I know I’ll drop it

  • IphoneFamily

Yeah…I don’t know how far this is going to get, considering this looks VERY similar to TomTom’s suction device.

iPhone 4S in the nude…as Jobs intended.

  • John Adams

Steve Jobs could afford to replace his if he broke it.  Multiple times over.  Mine’s in a case.
