The long wait for iOS 12.4 is finally over after Apple made the software update available to all iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch owners this morning.

In what will likely be the last major upgrade for iOS 12, the iOS 12.4 update brings a number of big improvements, including the ability to directly transfer data from an old iPhone to a new one. There are also tons of bug fixes and other changes, but the most notable thing about iOS 12.4 might be what it’s missing: Apple Card.

Despite big discounts on Apple Watch, AirPods and Beats headphones, only one Apple product made it into the top 10 searches in the U.S. The Nintendo Switch claimed the top spot by a good margin.

The iPhone-maker has reportedly renewed Carpool Karaoke for a third season. Production on season three is already underway and we already know at least one group of TV stars that will be joining the show.

Apple might bankroll original podcasts

Apple’s growing services business will soon feature original podcasts, according to a report that, if true, amps up the tech giant’s battle with rival Spotify.

Apple’s pursuit of original podcast content came to light via a news bulletin from a Bloomberg terminal. Even before the full story published, the news sent Spotify’s stock on a fall of more than 2 percent.

Tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing that put Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on that big chunk of cheese in the sky. To celebrate, Apple has put out a new video that talks about the Apollo mission’s impact on the world while also offering some glimpses of its upcoming TV show about the space race.

For All Mankind‘s first trailer came out during the WWDC 2019 keynote and instantly shot up onto our must-watch list. This new video makes the hype even bigger.

Harry Potter actress joins new Apple comedy series

Tim Cook’s home state might become the backdrop of one of Apple’s new TV shows for 2020. Or at least, it’s lending its name to it.

In its first comedy co-production with the BBC, Apple has tapped Imelda Staunton to star in a new eight-part series that will also feature Darren Boyd and Phil Davis called Alabama.

Apple temporarily disabled the Apple Watch Walkie-Talkie app after discovering a vulnerability that allowed users to listen in on another person’s iPhone calls without their knowledge.

The app will stay installed on devices, although it won’t work until Apple issues a fix.
