PDFs are a great digital document format, one that crosses our desktops almost every day. But what’s the difference between a PDF and a piece of paper if all you can do is sign them? With the right tool, you can take the padlock off your PDFs.
Readdle's PDF Expert is a must-have for working with documents on a Mac.
This post is brought to you by Readdle, maker of PDF Expert.
We’re giving away five licenses for the awesome Mac app PDF Expert — which was named “App of the Year 2015” by Apple — and we’re excited.
PDFs are part of daily life for pretty much anyone who works at a computer. But besides printing, sending or signing, there’s not a whole lot you can do with them if you don’t have special software. Get the right tool, though, and suddenly PDFs are loaded with possibilities.
Readdle just rolled out big updates that give users the ability to drag and drop content between its entire lineup of awesome productivity apps on iPad. It’s never been easier to multitask and manage your most important files on the go.
The company has also updated Documents 6 to turn it into a “Finder on iOS.”
Students take heed: The winter semester is off and running, and it’s going to be time to turn in term papers before you know it. If you’re stressing out about getting through your reams of writing in a timely fashion, we’ve got a suggestion you might not have considered — writing with PDFs.
PDFs not only produce a great looking final document, they also offer a versatile and flexible format for the writing and research process itself. With the right tool, you can build PDF documents that include time-saving annotations, perfect for highlighting the important parts of your research and adding notes along the way. You can organize your work in super useful ways and create a table of contents for easy navigation.

PDFs are a part of everyday life for pretty much anyone who works at a computer. While they’re great for sending clean, easy-to-read documents of all sorts, they’re less than easy to edit with standard Mac apps and readers like Preview.
With a Mac app like PDF Expert, you can work with this common document format almost as though it were a Word file. Fixing typos, rearranging sections and performing other tasks is a total breeze with PDF Expert. And right now, you can get PDF Expert for just $24.99 at Cult of Mac Deals with coupon code “EXPERT5.”

When I purchased a 12.9-inch iPad Pro back in November, I bought an Apple Pencil to go with it. When I decided against the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, I kept my Apple Pencil.
Even though I don’t draw, I found a lot of other ways the Apple Pencil fit into my workflow. And I knew Apple would release a smaller iPad with full support for the Apple Pencil.
That day has come, and I can’t wait to get back to using my Apple Pencil. Here are some of the best Apple Pencil apps that have absolutely nothing to do with sketching or drawing.

I’ve been spending the past week or so doing some app spring cleaning on my iPad, partially in preparation for the arrival of my new 9.7” iPad Pro on Thursday. During the process I realized that I have way too many document editing apps — half of which I have either never launched, or they didn’t do something I needed so I never used them again.
That’s why I took the opportunity to really cut down. Here are the document management apps that made the cut, and why:

PDF Expert is more powerful than you'd expect for its price. Photo: Readdle
Readdle’s highly praised iOS app PDF Expert has landed on the Mac. Shortly after its debut, it shot straight to the number one spot for paid apps on the Mac App Store. Apple’s own Preview app works fine for simply reading through PDF files or making tiny edits, but people who work with PDF files more frequently and need more power can benefit from giving the $19.99 PDF Expert a chance. Cult of Mac got the opportunity to do just that.
Everybody knows that the leader in the category of PDF editors and readers is Adobe with its Reader and Acrobat apps, but the latter costs $14.99 per month for a subscription or a staggering $449 for the full desktop software. As long as you don’t need to create PDFs, PDF Expert only asks for $20 out of your pocket and it’s jam-packed with all of the necessities and then some.
Readdle today rolled out its biggest update yet for PDF Expert 5, one of the finest PDF editing apps for iOS. It adds support for continuous scrolling and calculations, improves performance, and makes PDF Expert a universal app — so you only have to buy it once to use it on both iPhone and iPad.
Readdle has today rolled out a major new version of PDF Expert, on of its most popular productivity apps for iOS. The new release introduces an all-new design for iOS 7, as well as a much-improved file manager and PDF viewer, support for AirDrop and background downloads, and lots more.
Readdle, the team behind some of the best productivity apps and utilities for iOS, has slashed 50% off five of its top offerings for Black Friday. The sale includes titles like PDF Expert for iPhone and iPad, Calendars 5, and Printer Pro — all of which are now half price for a limited time.
Readdle has updated its popular Printer Pro app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch to introduce a new user interface that better fits iOS 7, as well as a number of new features. The app now promises “desktop class printing options,” such as the ability to print multiple pages on a single sheet of paper.
Readdle produces some of the best productivity apps money can buy for iOS devices, so it’s no surprise that it’s still going strong as it celebrates its sixth anniversary today. And in honor of this special occasion, the company has slashed up to 70% off all of its paid apps for a limited time.
It has also added a super cool timeline to its website that highlights some of the most important milestones and innovations from over the past six years.
Readdle is great at regularly updating its popular productivity apps for iOS, and today PDF Expert app for iPad has today received more than 20 new features and improvements. Among some of the new additions is a selection tool, the ability to copy and paste annotations, and a custom keyboard that makes it easier to enter times and dates.
Readdle adds even more features to the iPad's best PDF management solution.
Readdle has today updated its popular PDF Expert app for iPad to introduce a number of new features that include Google Drive syncing, integration with the PDF Converter app, faster PDF rendering, and more. It also promises “dozens” of other improvements, and it’s available to download from the App Store now.
