Apple’s WWDC keynote just kicked off this morning, but before Tim Cook dove into Apple’s exciting new software updates, the Apple CEO called for a moment of silence in respect for the victims of the Orlando tragedy.
After coming out to applause from Apple’s developers, an emotional Tim Cook started the keynote by talking about the Orlando tragedy.
“We offer our deepest sympathy to anyone who was touched by this violence,” said Cook. He then went on to talk about how Apple is a global company that values the diversity that makes us all stronger.
Cook then asked everyone to rise for a moment of silence for the 50 people who were killed, 53 injured and countless others that were effected by the senseless violence.
