With every new release, there’s always someone claiming to have filmed the first feature length movie or captured the first professional photo shoot on their new iPhone, and the iPhone 4S is no exception. Here’s the so-called first music video filmed on the iPhone 4S’s incredible new camera.

The video is for a band called The Turnback, who recorded their new single, Cellphane Sky, at the Webster Hall nightclub in New York City last weekend. The band says:

On October 14th, 2011 we received 2 brand new iPhone 4S smart phones. On Sunday October 16th we shot the video at the famous NYC nightclub Webster Hall. Over the next several days, with little sleep and lots of coffee, the final video was finished.

This video was shot entirely using those 2 iPhone 4S’s and was edited on Final Cut Pro.

Not a bad result. You can really see how much better the 4S’s new camera does in lower light settings in this video. What do you guys think?

This is not good. With so many people watching for a “first” why put this in an area it won’t excel in? Dark room / low light? Bad call.

I was just to post the very same thing just less succinct :)

way to ruin a good start, for a couple of seconds I wanted to post “what´s the name of the band?”

    followed by “geez, man! …”

  5. Noah Wiles says:

Considering that this appears to be a band without a boundless budget to work with, I think they did a pretty good job.  It seems intentional that they choose a low light environment in order to manufacture a sense of observing everything through intoxicated eyes.

  6. David Clark says:

Looks like rubbish. Hope it’s due to all those crap effects…

  7. Larry says:

Looks horrible.  Why bother posting this nonsense.
