When Adam Levine appeared at a Samsung event last week to promote the Galaxy Note 4 he joked that the company should hold a ceremonial iPhone burning, but don’t expect the Maroon 5 crooner to volunteer his own iPhone to the sacrificial fires.
Levine took to Twitter this morning to alert fans that he and fellow superstars from The Voice would appear on The Ellen Show today, but his intern must have forgotten to hand him his dedicated Samsung machine, because the tweet details reveal Levine still has an iPhone addiction.
The tweet was deleted shortly after and was resent from the Twitter web client, but not before The Verge spotted the singer’s error. The gaff is just another in a long list of celebrities who have gladly taken Samsung’s money to promote Samsung devices, only to be caught welding iPhones and iPads by their fans.

Isn’t it possible that Adam Levine has a handful of PR people working for him that post mindless plugs like this? Isn’t even more possible that these people do so from their own phones/computers?
Possible, but why? When not performing or signing autographs, celebrities are normal real people with nothing to do and play on their phones just like the rest of us. It’s not like they are running a Fortune 500 company or something. I guess I’d find the idea of an agent or spokesperson doing his personal tweeting rather odd and unlikely, as if they only take him out of the box and turn him on for shows, lol.
Exactly
Nah….. Dream on.
I nice idea of Tumblr would be one collecting those tweets made from iPhones by Samsung-sponsored people.
Every time this happens (and I’ve lost count) I laugh a little harder.
Im sure a lot of HTC, Sony, Samsung, LG execs/spokespersons have iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. Its okay.
The Predident of HP about three years ago have an interview and on the accompanying photo, he was using a MacBook.
Just as Fandroids believe there’s a global tech review site conspiracy where every reviewer is in the pocket of Apple (and thus giving such high scores to iPhones and iPads), we can all have fun thinking that Samsung’s huge sales are just a big global conspiracy as well. No one really uses a Samsung, anytime you see one in public, it’s a paid shill walking around, but at home they still use their iPhones/iPads. :)
Hey this is fun…
I’m an Android fan but I’ve got no idea what you’re talking about. So there you go.
It’s already been mentioned that is was probably an assistant. Most celeb twitter accounts are not them.
The operative word in the article is “promote”. I mean, who believes pitchmen anyway. We all know to accept commercials and promotions with a grain of salt. Heck, pay me and I, within reason, will promote a product just like the rest.
