France is the latest stop in the magical mystery tour of European courtrooms for Apple and Samsung. Samsung is now the aggressor, filing a patent infringement lawsuit against Apple, charging the iPhone 3G, 3GS, iPhone 4 and 3G iPad violate the South Korean company’s patents.
Unlike the German lawsuit brought by Apple which Samsung lost, this go-round focuses on patents, not tablet design, according to the company. “The complaint focuses on three technology patents, and not on the design of the tablets,” a Samsung spokeswoman told AFP. The infringement claim appears concentrated on 3G technology.
The France court battle brings to eight the number of nations where the two rivals are fighting in court. Other legal battles are happening in the U.S., Australia, Korea, Japan, The Netherlands, Britain, Germany.

Ohhh dear, Samsung *didn’t* lost case in Germany, they got their request to lift ban denied (but got EU ban lifted except for Germany). Court itself will take much longer time. I know that newest journalism quality/fact checking levels are quite low, but please…
